Google expands service capability that integrates Gmail with BlackBerry
Google Apps Connector for BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES, in English) delivers e-mail and calendar appointments from Gmail for BlackBerry phones. Companies using this system should add an extension to the BES, responsible for connecting to the servers of e-mail from Google.
With the update 1.5, a corporation can handle up to 500 devices per server, twice more than was supported by the previous version.
The company is also giving more attention to small businesses. The new connector also works with BlackBerry Professional Software, which supports up to 30 phones BlackBerry.
Moreover, the alternative is to work in situations where the company has a single BES users across multiple Google Apps domains. This function can help hosting companies to offer the service to end users with reduced prices, according to a post on Google.
